Schedule an Event
Each year, we hike once or twice a month in spring, summer and fall on trails throughout the beautiful Garden State. All ages and levels are welcome - check out the Spring 2017 schedule (coming soon) and sign-up below for alerts.
If you think you’ll be joining us for a hike, let Sarah Green know, so we look for you. But don’t let lack of RSVP deter you from just showing up.
More spring hikes to be added.
Saturday, Apr 29, 10am - Hacklebarney State Park (119 Hacklebarney Rd, Long Valley, NJ)
This popular hiking spot has a network of 9 intersecting trails, the longest of which is 1.8 miles, so we can easily tailor the length of the hike to the will of the group. Most trails are easy, but be prepared for rocks down by the river. Meet in the park’s main parking lot. Afterwards, for those who are interested, we’ll head to Delicious Heights in Bedminster (intersection of 202 & 206) for lunch.

Saturday, May 13, 10am - Sussex Branch Trail bordering Kittatiny Park, Newton, NJ
Join us for a pre-Mother’s Day hike on part of the Sussex Branch Trail. This is an easy hike, covering about 3 miles. Meet at the Doidge home, 38 Old Creamery Rd, Newton.
After-hike lunch option: Stonewood Tavern OR cook out at the Doidge’s (bring something to share)
Leaders: Wendy Doidge and Carolyn Crosthwaite. Please RSVP to either leader by May 11 with your lunch preference or if you will just be hiking.
