Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Presbyterian Women is an inclusive, caring community of women nurturing faith through prayer and Bible study and supporting the mission of the church worldwide. PW offers programs and service opportunities throughout the year. Contact: Sherry

Circles, the center of activity for Presbyterian Women, are small groups of women that meet monthly for a time of sharing, study and service work. Circles provide volunteer support for local and global mission. We hold a monthly book club as well as regular Bible studies.

Presbyterian Women is sponsoring  an Apple Festival & Flea Market that supports PW mission work. Vendors and church family artisans will offer tables of crafts, antiques, collectibles, toys -anything one could wish for at reasonable prices - lots of bargains.

PW also raises funds for mission at their Fish 'n Chips Dinner.

Prayer Shawl Minstry

Presbyterian Women invites anyone who likes to crochet or knit, or who has wanted to learn how to crochet or knit, to attend our Prayer Shawl Ministry, dedicated to providing shawls to anyone who needs uplifting or affirming in times of joy or of mourning or transition.

The shawl is symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving God. It wraps, enfolds, comforts, covers, gives solace, hugs and beautifies. It lets the recipients know that we care about them and that in the knitting and crocheting, many prayers and blessings were woven into the shawls.

Throughout the year, we gather for this activity, bringing along knitting supplies and instructions. Completed shawls are blessed in church and distributed throughout the year. Details at PW Shawl Minstry and Lion Brand Yarn
