Lenten Study - The Journey

Ash Wednesday - March 1, 2017
Palm Sunday - April 9, 2017
Easter Sunday - April 16, 2017

The PCM Lenten Bible study is offered on a choice of days/times for five weeks (see Schedule) as we are called to take a journey that arrives at difficult coordinates... Jerusalem and the cross. Jesus continually walked into the most difficult of relational situations, exposing the chasm that was present between people perceived to be different from each other, and so, we will journey to some painful and dark places in our lives and collective histories as we study the book by James Cone, The Cross and the Lynching Tree.

This year’s study has been chosen as part of the “Undoing Racism” relationship our congregation has formed with members of Rendall Memorial Presbyterian Church in Harlem. Their congregation will be using the same book in their Lenten studies.

The Sunday Morning Seminar series, "Understanding World Religions" and Sunday worship themes also follow this theme of The Journey

A daily Lenten Devotional will be available at the church and Parish House.
