The History of Jan's Closet

The Clothing Bank was started by the Presbyterian Women in the early '70s at the Church of the Redeemer. Clothes were stored at the PCM Parish House and carted by truck over to Redeemer.

In 1995, Jan Harris took over management of the CB. With the help of AAA, a room was built for the transfer of the CB to the PCM Parish House.

After 21 years, Jan retired, but her legacy lives on. In 2016, major renovations to the Parish House included expanding and improving the CB facility, officially renamed "Jan's Closet." Today, a new generation of dedicated volunteers serve over 100 people each week.
