2017 Community Worship on the Green

Sundays at 10am - July 9 and 23, August 6 and 20

Four Sundays each summer, PCM offers summer worship outside on The Morristown Green at 10am. The services are casual, interactive and suited for the young and restless. We share these services with other Morristown churches... and invite whomever wishes to stop by and enjoy a casual outdoor worship experience. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, lean against a tree, let your children play... chairs and benches are also available.

Worship themes and music for 2017 TBA.

Morristown Green History

Did you know the Morristown Green property - now the center of Morristown - was once owned by The Presbyterian Church in Morristown? In 1816, church trustees created a "deed of joint tenancy" with trustees for a Morristown Common, with the stipulation that only certain "government use" buildings could be erected there. Later, in 1868, conflicting claims as to what buildings were allowed led to the restoring of the property back to PCM. Immediately, a new deed conveyed the property to the trustees of the Green stipulating that the land remain forever a public park with no buildings allowed.
