DESCRIPTION:For over 25 years, the Interfaith Food Pantry Network has improved the health and well-being of Morris County residents in need by providing access to food. With over 30,000 food-insecure people in Morris County there’s no better time to fight hunger than right now.\nJoin our community of neighbors helping neighbors and donate non-perishable food items to the Spring PCM Food Drive for the Interfaith Food Pantry Network April 26 through May 10.\nWays to Give\n1. Food donations can be dropped off:\n\nIn the Food Drive collection bin inside the Parish House door.\nDuring Sunday services at the Church on the Green. Collection bins are located in the Narthex and near the Mutch Hall back entrance.\nBags are available that you can take, fill, and return. The bags are located near the bins at both the Church and Parish House.\n\nSee the list of needed items below.\n \n2. Collect food at Kings on May 2:\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity to engage with our community at Kings in Morristown (191 South Street) on Saturday, May 2, between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.\nPlease sign up here to register.\n\n \n3. Financial donations\n\nChecks should be made out to the Presbyterian Church in Morristown with a note for “Food Drive for IFPN” and mailed to the Parish House: 65 South Street, Morristown NJ 07960.\nDonate online by clicking here.\n\n \nNeighbors Helping Neighbors: Items Needed by the Interfaith Food Pantry Network\n\n\n\n\nFRUITS & VEGETABLES – Look for fruit canned\nin its own juice or with “no sugar added.” Look for vegetables with\nlow sodium or “no salt added.”\n– Canned fruit\n– 100% juice 32 oz.\n– Canned vegetables\n– Spaghetti/tomato sauce\n– Tomato products (crushed, whole, diced, paste, puree)\n\n\nGRAINS – Donate whole grains as often as you can.\n– Cereal – low sugar, high fiber\n– Oatmeal\n– Pasta/whole wheat pasta\n– Rice/brown rice – 1 or 2 lb. sizes\n\n\nDAIRY – Donate shelf-stable low-fat (1%) or non-fat dairy products.\n– Parmalat (shelf stable 32 oz. size)\n– Dry milk (1-qt. package)\n– Evaporated milk\n– Calcium-fortified milk alternatives, (soy, rice, almond milks)\n\n\nPROTEIN – Look for “no salt added”, “low -sodium” and\n“canned in water.”\n– Canned beans (pork and beans, pinto, red, white; not green beans)\n– Dried beans\n– Tuna fish, salmon and other canned fish\n– Peanut butter 18 0z\n– Canned meats and meals (ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs, hash, stew, canned chicken, etc.)\n\n\nSIDE DISHES\n– Mac ‘n cheese\n– Instant potatoes\n– Stuffing\n– Rice-A-Roni\n– Hamburger Helper\n\n\nSOUPS\n– Hearty\n– Low-sodium\n– Regular\n\n\nBABY ITEMS\n– Enfamil Infant Formula (NOT newborn)\n– Baby food – Stage 1 fruits and Stage 3 vegetables and meats\n\n\n\n\n
