DESCRIPTION:Help us spread a little extra love to the Pre-K students at Lafayette Learning Center in Morristown this winter break! For some of these young learners, time away from school can mean less access to healthy snacks and fewer opportunities for hands-on learning and play.\nThis year, we’re filling our Winter Break Kits with healthy, non-perishable snacks to help nourish growing bodies, along with fun, age-appropriate learning manipulatives to keep little minds curious, engaged, and learning while school is out.\nEach kit is a simple way to remind children and their families that their community cares about them. Together, we can help make winter break a little brighter, a little healthier, and full of opportunities to learn and grow.\nThank you for helping us share the love this season!\nHow You Can Help\nWe are collecting donations (please see list below) to fill these care kits. The full item list can be found below. You can support in two ways:\n1. Donate Items\nWe are accepting donations from October 18 – November 1. You can:\n\nPurchase and drop off items at the Parish House (65 South Street) or bring to worship and drop off in the marked bins at the church\nOrder online through our Amazon Wishlist and ship directly to the Parish House\n\n \n2. Give Financially\n\nWant to help but don’t have time to shop? Make a financial contribution, and we’ll use 100% of your donation to fill any remaining gaps in the kits\nDonate online here or mail a check to PCM Parish House, 65 South Street, Morristown, 07960. Please add Winter Break Kits to the memo.\n\n\nAccepted Items\nPlease note: We have some students with severe allergies, so the following items should not be purchased (or in ingredients – please double check!): Garlic, all milk products, cheese, yogurt, butter, eggs, cashews, pistachio, walnuts, peanut butter, sesame seeds, sunflower seed, lentil, chickpea, celery, tree nuts, green peas, and pineapple.\nBreakfast Items:\n\nInstant oatmeal packets (flavored or plain)\nIndividual cereal cups or boxes\nGranola bars (soft for little kids; no nuts!)\nApplesauce cups or pouches\nFruit cups in 100% juice (double check for pineapple juice!)\n\n \nLunch/Dinner Items:\n\nWhole wheat crackers or graham crackers\nRice and beans (microwaveable cups or pouches; make sure no garlic if flavored!)\n\n \nSnacks:\n\nPretzels or popcorn bags\nAnimal crackers\nDried fruit (e.g., raisins, banana chips)\nPudding cups\nFruit snacks (real fruit-based – make sure to double check for pineapple juice!)\n\n \nDrinks:\n\n100% juice boxes\nMini water bottles\n\n
