Presbytery News & Happenings

• The news we have been waiting to hear: The Committee on Ministry approved the request of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown to proceed with the process to call the Covenant Supply Associate Pastor as the Installed Associate Pastor.
• November 14, 2023 Presbytery Meeting highlights – our commissioned elders for this meeting: Clarence Curry, Jr., Rich Schwartz, and Karen Griffith. Clerk of Session Wendy Doidge is also a voting member by virtue of being a past moderator of Presbytery.
• Commissioned Elders for the 2024 GA meeting in Salt Lake City are:
  • Elder Craig Barth (Morristown)
  • Elder Alec Jain (Morris Plains)
  • Rev. Robin Palmer Burton (Highlands Presbyterian Church, Long Valley)
  • Rev. Rich Gelson (Pilgrim/Philipsburg).
• The Presbytery budget was passed.
• Newly installed Moderator: Sue Cail, Community Presbyterian Church of Ringwood, and Vice Moderatorb – Rev. Chad Rogers, Lower Valley Presbyterian, Califon.
