SUNDAYS AT 9:00 AM | Church on the Green and Online
Doughnuts and Theology is one of our weekly adult education offerings, occurring most Sundays during the academic year. Themes range from worship, to immigration and the Church, to intergenerational Bible study, to visual arts and spirituality. Per the title, we will have doughnuts at EVERY gathering, come rain or come shine!
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm | Parish House
Join Reverend Daniel or Reverend Audrey for a weekly discussion group on the scripture passages for the upcoming Sunday. It’ll be a chance to dive deep into our Bible readings and explore together how God may still be speaking to us through the words of scripture.
Thursdays at 11:15 am | Parish House
A time for women interested in learning more about the bible stories that they grew up with and some that they are not familiar with. We choose books that help our faith to grow and inspire thoughtful conversations.
Monthly at 4:00 pm | Parish House
Join us as we explore how faith is represented in films, followed by pizza and discussion in Sheffield Hall!
ChaNCel Choir | HIGH SCHOOL and up
A choir open to high school students and adults who seek to make excellent music in a safe space for all people. The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:30 – 9:00 pm and Sundays from 9:00 – 9:40 am in the Sanctuary of the Church on the Green (57 E. Park Place). This choir leads services throughout the year and prepares major works with an orchestra.
Chancel Ringers | Ages 18 and up
An adult handbell ensemble, ringing intermediate and advanced music, that rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:15 pm in the Choir Room at the Church on the Green (57 E Park Place). This group rings during services about five times per year and on Christmas Eve.
Experience a new expression of worship with a musical style that transcends generations. Jazz is a uniquely American musical expression which mirrors many of the dimensions in our lives: authenticity, movement, dissonance, and improvisation. Led by the Steve Hess Trio.
Music programs are led by Dr. Matt Webb, Director of Music.
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Join us for our all-church dinners, every Wednesday at 6:00 pm! All are welcome, whether you are hoping to connect with other church members, participating in our midweek program, swinging by before Chancel Choir practice, or just looking for a time of fellowship with the whole church family, we hope you will join us. We ask that you please register beforehand so that we know how many dinners to order.
All are welcome to our movie nights which are great evenings for the whole church family to enjoy a movie, share popcorn, and have a night of fun and fellowship on the lawn of the Parish House. Movies are for all ages, so whether you are 2 or 92, you are welcome! Feel free to bring dinner and drinks; no hard liquor is permitted, but beer and wine are welcome. We will provide popcorn and an all-ages beverage. Join us for these fun evenings on the Parish House lawn (or in Sheffield Hall during winter months!)
