Where faith begins and grace abounds

We believe that our faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is always “beginning” in the sense that as a community of believers, our faith is never completed or finished. Faith is something that is constantly changing and growing. Our core values are the heartbeat of our youth ministry. Being a welcoming community that is service-oriented and focused on cultivating faith is what we try to build all of our programming around.

acolytes

7th – 12th Grade | Sundays 10:00 am

Being an acolyte provides teens in grades 7-12 with an opportunity to fully participate in worship. Our Acolytes assist at the 10:00 am worship service, carrying the light of Christ into the Sanctuary before service, lighting the candles on the Communion table, and carrying the light out to the world at the conclusion. Acolytes may receive the offering, offer the prayer of dedication, read the first scripture reading, or participate in Baptism. Two acolytes serve each Sunday once every six weeks.

confirmation

8th Grade +

Confirmation is offered every year for 8th grade students. Older students who were unable to participate in confirmation their 8th grade year are welcome to join.

scholarships

high school students

PCM’s Scholarship Programs have been generously endowed by church members who have, through gifts and memorials, established a variety of scholarship funds that provide financial resources to be awarded to full-time undergraduate students each year.

Ringers on the Green | High School Bell Ringers

Our Ringers on the Green are a group of people with varying levels of musical experience and ability, but capable of and committed to excellence in all that we do. The hallmarks of our group are kindness, equality, musical excellence, dependability, charity, and openness in our welcome and in our communication. This group also assists in worship leadership with their musical offerings. This touring handbells ensemble for high school students rehearses on Sundays in the Choir Room at the Church on the Green (57 E Park Place) from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. The ROGS are involved in services throughout the year, on Christmas Eve, and have an annual tour or conference experience at the end of the school year.

Middle School Music

We explore a combination of handbell ringing, singing, and other instrumental music for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, designed to help them develop their musical skills and to learn the importance of leading in worship. This ensemble rehearses on Sundays from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.

Chancel Choir | High School And Up

A choir open to high school students and adults who seek to make excellent music in a safe space for all people. The Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:30 – 9:00 pm and Sundays from 9:00 – 9:40 am in the Sanctuary of the Church on the Green (57 E Park Place). This choir leads services throughout the year and prepares major works with an orchestra.

Music programs are led by Dr. Matt Webb, Director of Music, and Associate Organist, Kevin Graf.
