Doughnuts and Theology, PCM’s Sunday Adult Education series, begins September 14 at 8:45 am in the Chapel with a kickoff you won’t want to miss!
You’ve all seen it before—the eye-popping headline, the catchy image designed to stop your scroll. But is it true? Is it AI-generated? Is it poor journalism? Or is it us?
We live in a world shaped by algorithms, a world that often values speed over truth, clicks over wisdom. As people of faith, we are called to something different. We are called to discern—not just what is real or fake—but what is true, what is good, what is worth our time, energy, and attention.
It can feel like our faith is constantly up against a noisy, overwhelming feed of information. But must it be that way? What would it look like to pause, to listen more deeply, and to engage the world not with fear or cynicism, but with grounded hearts and clear minds?
As disciples, we are not just passive consumers of content. We are stewards—of our hearts, our minds, and each other. So let’s take this time together to practice: to notice, to question, to discern—and most importantly, to root ourselves in the kind of truth that shapes not just what we know, but how we live and love in a noisy world.
We hope you will join us in the Chapel on Sunday, September 14 at 8:45 am!
