This is the last of two sessions with Dr. Jonathan Golden of Drew University. Dr. Golden has been recognized as one of Drew’s most gifted instructors. As we approach this visiting scholar’s presentation, it’s hard not to ponder the long-running historical dance between religious belief and conflict, violent and non-violent. How can we account for this? What, if anything can we do to once and for all uncouple the two, and how can we as people of faith contribute to a world in which religion actually lessens conflict?
