A Message from Daniel
Dear PCM Family,
There are several important things to share with you today… but first…
WOW! How amazing was Easter Sunday at PCM?! I feel grateful so for all of it… God is good! From the incredible music to the gorgeous floral display; from the joy of our children singing to the lively crowd filling the pews… all of it was just so wonderful! And there are too many people to thank, not only for making Sunday such a success, but all of Lent and Holy Week, too. If you had a hand in cleaning, tidying up, or making our sanctuary look beautiful; or greeting, welcoming, ushering, or offering hospitality; or live-streaming, producing sound and video, or preparing communion; or reading, speaking, singing, ringing, playing, or conducting… THANK YOU! I deeply appreciate the efforts of so many people who help to make worship at PCM so special.
By the way… for those who keep track of these things, we had 479 people worship with us in person on Easter Sunday. Again… WOW!
During the sermon, I mentioned our upcoming Serve Saturday on May 3, 2025. We still have about 20 spaces available… so if you haven’t signed up to take part yet, please get on it right away… we’d love to have you! See the announcement below or click here to RSVP. It’s going to be a fantastic day of service and a lot of fun, too!
Finally, a reminder that the memorial service for Allene Rush (mother of Wayne Rush) will take place today, Thursday, April 24, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel. For those who attend, the family invites you to wear red, Allene’s favorite color.
In addition, I share the news that Amy Miller, daughter of PCM’s former pastor, Rev. John Miller, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. For those who wish to send John a message or card, please feel free to reach out to me and I will share his contact information. We also received word that Marceline “Mikey” Duffill passed away yesterday afternoon. As we learn more about a service, we will make sure to share. In these days following Easter, we give thanks that in life and in death we belong to God.
Even with all that have we celebrate about last Sunday – there is still so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead. Read below for more information… and see you in church!
In Christ’s love,
Daniel
