A Message from Daniel
Dear PCM Family,
Just this morning, I finished writing the script for Sacred Space… and I’m so excited we are bringing this experience to PCM for another year!
Sacred Space is a one-hour, interactive, meditative prayer walk along a contemporary labyrinth. Think: one part museum tour; one part stations of the cross; one part uplifting encounter with God. I never really know how to describe it – I just know that it’s one of my very favorite things that I get to do as a pastor.
When you arrive – using the Mutch Hall entrance at Church on the Green – you’ll be given an audio player with instructions and music to guide you through Sacred Space. As you make your way through the labyrinth, you’ll travel from station to station, experiencing different activities designed to help you reflect on your life, your faith journey, and your relationship with God.
Sacred Space happens in community – there are others walking the labyrinth with you – but because you have your own individual audio player, the experience is private and deeply personal.
Here are a few more details:
- Monday, February 3 through Thursday, February 6 from 4:00 – 9:00 pm at Church on the Green (plan for about one-hour to walk the labyrinth).
- Childcare will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 4 and 5 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
- I recommend wearing (or bringing) some warm and comfy socks. Walking through labyrinth in socks (without shoes) makes for a more grounding experience.
- You can use your smart phone rather than one of church’s personal audio players… just be sure to bring your own headphones or AirPods.
In the meantime, this Sunday we’ll be wrapping up our January series, “Worship +2.”
In Christ’s love,
Daniel
