Church on the Green History Tours
Step back in time and discover the remarkable story of Morristown’s oldest congregation. Join us on Thursdays between 11:30 am – 1:30 pm for a free 20-minute guided walking tour of the historic Church on the Green and uncover the people, places, and events that helped shape both our church and our community.
As you explore our campus, you’ll hear stories of Revolutionary War connections, George Washington’s time in Morristown, the origins of the Morristown Green, historic architecture, and the generations of faith, service, and community that have defined this congregation since 1733. The church’s history includes serving as a hospital during the Revolutionary War and helping shape the Morristown Green as we know it today.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a local resident, or simply curious about one of Morristown’s most treasured landmarks, this tour offers a fascinating glimpse into nearly three centuries of history hiding in plain sight.
