PCM Group Volunteer Opportunity at Nourish.NJ in Dover!
Did you know that PCM has a long history of supporting Nourish.NJ, formerly known as the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center?
Did you also know that, since opening its doors 40 years ago, Nourish.NJ has never missed a single day of providing food, housing, work readiness, medical, social, and educational services in a warm, safe and caring environment, free of charge, no questions asked?
6 – 8 members of the PCM community have an opportunity to serve together at Nourish.NJ’s newest facility on February 4.

Volunteer pre-shift requirements:
Each volunteer needs to create a profile prior to February 4 by clicking here.
What to expect:
- You’ll volunteer indoors
- Nourish.NJ‘s kitchen staff will be onsite to guide all volunteers in the kitchen
- You’ll assist kitchen staff with:
- portioning meals into to-go containers
- assisting with light meal prep
- cleaning up and restocking Nourish.NJ’s marketplace
- You’ll be on your feet and lifting (up to 25 lbs.) throughout your shift
Volunteer tips:
- Wear comfortable clothes
- Wear closed toe, rubber sole shoes – Sneakers are best
- Bring a hat
- Nourish.NJ will provide aprons and gloves
- Follow all food safety guidelines – Handwashing is an important part of your shift
