Volunteer: Food Prep at Nourish NJ
Members of the PCM community had such a great time volunteering together at Nourish NJ’s Dover facility in February that we’d love to make it a regular gig! Nourish NJ loves the idea too!

Volunteer pre-shift requirements:
Each volunteer needs to create a profile prior to service by clicking here.
What to expect:
- You’ll volunteer indoors
- Nourish NJ‘s kitchen staff will be onsite to guide all volunteers in the kitchen
- You’ll assist kitchen staff with:
- portioning meals into to-go containers
- assisting with light meal prep
- cleaning up and restocking Nourish NJ’s marketplace
- You’ll be on your feet and lifting (up to 25 lbs.) throughout your shift
Volunteer tips:
- Wear comfortable clothes
- Wear closed toe, rubber sole shoes – Sneakers are best
- Bring a hat
- Nourish NJ will provide aprons and gloves
- Follow all food safety guidelines – Handwashing is an important part of your shift
