Table of Hope Donation Drive: September 4 – 25
Table of Hope was founded by members of the Bethel Church of Morristown and has been supported by PCM since September 2013. After Hurricane Irene flooded the church, community members, and a donor, rebuilt the fellowship hall and a new commercial kitchen. This generosity spurred members of Bethel Church to do more for the community, thus Table of Hope was born. Now a trusted community soup kitchen, they serve dinner five nights a week to anyone in need of a “warm meal and a smile”.
Every week Table of Hope serves hundreds of hot meals-to-go from their soup kitchen and distributes groceries to thousands of local families at their food pantries. In 2021, they served over 18,500 soup kitchen meals and provided groceries to over 39,000 families in Morris County. They also expanded operations to include a Mobile Food Pantry and to provide COVID vaccinations for free.
PCM has been one of Table of Hope’s strongest financial supporters since 2019. Many PCM members volunteer at Table of Hope to serve meals or help at their Morristown food pantry.
As a non-profit organization, Table of Hope relies on donations to keep their community soup kitchen running. Please consider donating commercial or household sized serving items most needed (see below list). Bulk items can be found at stores such as Costco and BJ’s. Look for sales at ShopRite!
