Greetings from the Vision Realization Team!
Since the original Vision Team (VT) reported to the congregation in April on the Session’s approval of the plans developed by the VT, many members have stepped up to volunteer to take leadership roles for the approved motions.
We spent the summer getting our teams organized and recruiting more members to fill in each of the motion teams. To begin planning for how we will realize the ambitions developed by the VT for all the motions, we have collected relevant documents and set initial timelines and deliverables for each motion team.
We are excited to share that we will be conducting a Design Thinking workshop for our teams on September 19. Design Thinking is a discipline with frameworks for approaching this work using human-centered design. This will enable the teams to pursue their missions in the most open-minded and empathetic ways possible.
We will continue to update Session monthly, and there is a robust plan for communicating our progress to the congregation through a variety of channels throughout the entire journey.
