know. love. serve.
These three words shape a core part of our mission – namely, to know, love, and serve God and others. All of the other things we do are important, but these three come first. And your giving makes it all possible.
Each fall, we ask you to make a financial commitment to the church for the upcoming year. For many among us, giving is a regular part of what we do. In that way, it’s like a spiritual practice – a tangible way to answer the call to support God’s work in this community. For others among us, making a pledge might be a new idea. If that’s the case for you, I hope you’ll consider how God has blessed you and how you might faithfully respond to those blessings through your church.
A pledge is your best advance estimate of what you think you’ll be able to contribute in 2024. We know circumstances may change. But the majority of our income comes from congregational giving, which means in order for us to plan responsibly, with as much insight as possible, we need to hear from you.
Our budget — as individuals and as a church — reveals a lot about what we believe. I know there are other ways to contribute to the life of this church. The time and creativity and energy that you all give is tremendous. That matters, too. Jesus asks us to give him our whole lives — heart and soul, mind and strength, hopes and dreams, schedules and abilities and resources. I pray you will be generous to support the work of PCM in the year ahead and beyond.
In Christ’s love,
Daniel
