PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NURSERY SCHOOL (PCNS)

The Presbyterian Church Nursery School has served children and families in the Morristown area since 1964. We continue to provide a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for young children and their families today.

Children have an opportunity for emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development in a Christian environment. We offer parents a safe and nurturing space for their children to grow and learn. Our classrooms are warm, bright and inviting.

Our Programs

children ages 2.5 to 5 years

2.5-year-olds come for a few hours two days a week to start their journey in preschool. We help children learn to separate from caregivers, develop a positive self-concept, gain early socialization skills, and follow a simple routine. Staying for lunch is an option when children are ready.

3–4-year-olds come for three four-hour days, experience a slightly more structured schedule, and have lunch at school. Children learn through play and centers around the classroom that enhance fine motor, cognitive, social-emotional, and gross motor skills.

Pre-K (ages 4 and 5) children enjoy a full five-day week of four-hour classes. They are prepared well for kindergarten by expanding their social emotional skills and personal responsibility. Cognitive areas of development (letters, numbers, counting, etc.) are presented in an engaging curriculum to encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
