Jesus Forgives

Meditation
For those of you that know me, you know that I am not often still. Maybe this is why one of my favorite passages in the Bible comes from Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
I have always enjoyed running and walking in nature. It is there that I feel at peace, I feel God’s presence with me. I speak with God, I pray. On a recent trip to Morocco with my husband and children, we rode camels into the Sahara Desert to see the sun rise over the dunes. We began the ride well before dawn, surrounded by a deep darkness. Everything was still and silent. As I rode along, I was overcome with a feeling of awe. I felt God with me; I felt Him surrounding me. This had never happened to me before. I told God how grateful I was for this moment, for the opportunity to be with my family, for the love that I felt so deeply for Him and for them. I actually cried tears of happiness and gratitude; I knew what a unique and blessed experience this was. I will carry it with me forever.
I encourage you to take a few moments to be completely still and silent… use this time to think of the greatness and goodness of God. Be still and know that He is God.
