A Message from Audrey
Dear friends,
I hope you’re having a lovely start to your Lenten season!
This Lent, we’re exploring some of the treasures of our faith, and one of those treasures which we are especially exploring on Wednesdays here at the Parish House is the Bible itself. This past Wednesday, we kicked off our Lenten Bible study, Meet Your Bible, by diving into an introduction to scripture and taking a closer look at the Torah. It was a great conversation, and I would love for you to join us for any or all of the remaining sessions—whether you’re brand new to the Bible or reading it is a regular part of your faith life!
Here’s what’s coming up:
- March 19 – Historical Books and the Writing Prophets
- March 26 – Scripture as our Guide to Questions on Gender and Sexuality
- April 2 – The New Testament Letters
- April 9 – The Gospels and Acts
We meet on Wednesday evenings at 5:45 pm and we would love to see you there! Also, if you would like to be on the email list for this class to receive materials from previous sessions, please just send me a message that you would like to be on the list: awebber@pcmorristown.org.
Speaking of treasures of our faith—this Sunday in worship, we will be reflecting on grace and forgiveness. God’s grace meets us in all kinds of ways, often when we least expect it. I am looking forward to exploring this together on Sunday when we receive our next treasure for our Lenten treasure boxes!
Hope to see you Sunday (and maybe Wednesday, too!)
Blessings,
Audrey
