Presbytery Happenings and Information:

The Highlands Property & Insurance Committee presented at the March Presbytery Meeting: P&I-3  PILP Loan Request from the Presbyterian Church in Morristown: The Property & Insurance Team recommended that the Administrative Coordinating Team, on behalf of the Presbytery, permit the request of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown (PCM) to apply for a loan from the Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program (PILP). The Presbytery, or the Administrative Coordinating Team on its behalf, must approve and sign for such a loan, as the Presbytery will be responsible if the church cannot make its payments.

The Administrative Commission of the First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater concluded its work and the body voted to approve their recommendations for the disposition of the proceeds from sale of the church manse and the dissolution of the Commission.

The Rev. Kathi Heath was approved to become installed pastor at Ogden Memorial Church in Chatham, having served as their covenant supply pastor.

There were six overtures to the Book of Order that were presented, discussed, and approved. The final set of overtures will be voted on at the May meeting.

In breakout groups, ministers and commissioned elders were asked three questions: Who are your saints, personally and/or as a congregation, what gifts have they entrusted to you, and how do you see them living in your life and in your congregation/members?

The necrology report was read out loud during the meeting.

Respectfully,

Wendy M Doidge
