Volunteer: Home-Cooked Meals for Community Members

We’re looking for volunteers to help provide home-cooked meals for 21 individuals in our community. If you’re able, please consider preparing a dish at home and bringing it in ready to share. Meals should be dropped off at the Parish House by 9:30 am Monday morning in individual (21) reheatable containers for easy distribution and warming. Here are two options for containers we have been using: option 1 and option 2. Not sure what to cook? A quick Google search of “meal prep meals” will give you lots of ideas!

This effort is part of the Morristown Housing Sprint, a focused initiative to move neighbors from temporary motel placements into stable housing as quickly as possible. We are partnering with Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey (CSPNJ) to support 21 individuals who are currently residing in motel rooms and have access only to a microwave and mini fridge. Providing nourishing, home-cooked meals is one small but meaningful way we can offer dignity, comfort, and care during a season of transition.

Please note: one of the clients does not eat meat, so we’ll need at least one vegetarian option. We also ask that no meals include pork.

Your care and generosity make a meaningful difference—thank you for helping nourish our neighbors in this tangible way. If you’re able to participate, please sign up below!
